G’day all, the weather is beaut this time of year so check this out and get in touch.
No matter what the weather throws at you, the area still allows for safe boating.
In Exmouth you could end up spending a whole week on shore due to foul weather, but over here if the wind is blowing you have access to the miles of mangrove systems and flats. We use the wind to our advantage at Wilderness Island. When the weather is good, head offshore. When it’s blowing we fish the miles of flats and mangrove systems (the big bonus on windy days is that you wont be bothered by sand flies if you want to fish the creeks).
There are endless opportunities for some great land based fishing as well if you want to have a day or so off the boat. With miles of rocky headlands and beach you can just take your rod and tackle box and go for hours.
Bring your own boat and make your own itinerary. We will provide you with an awesome holiday destination and the experience of a lifetime.
What you do is up to you but we’ll advise you so you get the best out of your stay!
Your days can be spent following the coastline, fishing the rock bars, creeks and reefs or heading out to deeper water to haul in a big one. You can explore the creeks on windy days or go on a mud crabbing expedition, set out for lunch on a secluded beach or fish from the miles of beach at Wilderness Island.
When you book your accommodation at Wilderness Island, just take your boat out and enjoy. We will provide you with meals of the freshest seafood and local produce, a comfortable and laid back atmosphere, full use of kayaks, snorkelling equipment and other water toys and some of the best fishing opportunities in Australia. If you’re not that into fishing, there are scores of deserted islands and miles of deserted beaches to explore.
